Started from Riverton Cemetery (a wee detour) and had a leisurely lazy walk along roads, through bush, over farm paddocks and along beaches to Colac Bay.

I felt so welcome in Riverton-Aparima and learned more about my whakapapa (family history).

Ngā mihi nui to Fiona and Murray who run the Riverton Lodge for their manaakitanga.

Murray gave me a ride out to the Riverton Cemetery, where I found the grave site of Edmund Stuck – one of the 3 Stuck brothers who came to New Zealand.
