Day 2 of the Humpridge Track started with delicious porridge and coffee and a quick side trip to the lookout above the lodge.
After checking out the amazing views, we were back on track and heading for Port Craig Lodge by 8.30am.
The weather held back just long enough for us to get across the exposed ridge to luncheon rock. Then the clouds came down and the light persistent rain started.

I was delighted to receive your email just now, 2.54 pm. The photos you included taken while tramping along the Humpbridge Track- Osaka Lodge to Port Craig Lodge were most helpful for me to see the landscape you have covered and to see you and Jane looking healthy and happy. On Monday afternoon I was in the Departure Lounge at Wellington Airport with Elizabeth and Jim to watch the Scots College Junior School students performing a variety of Christmas Carols. James and a small group of guitarists played as part of the accompaniment while William and Richard sang with the Junior Choir. Thanks so much for your email Meredith – missing you. Hugs and cuddles
