Thursday 14 December – Lazy late start to the day! Lots of coffees in bed looking out at Lake Wakatipu.

I started my walk on the lakeside trail around 11am.

I got to the 5 mile shopping area around 1pm and had a delicious cafe lunch.

I continued my walk 1.45pm, crossing the Shotover River on the historic bridge.

I followed the river to the Lake Hayes Estate, then walked above-beside Lake Hayes and through the Millbrook Resort to Arrowtown.

I had time for a quick look at the Chinese Gold Seekers settlement before jumping on an Orbus Bus at 6.59pm back to Queenstown.
